Kingdom - Freeish

Freeish Kingdom

The Freeish Kingdom is composed of a cluster of several smaller cities. It came to be during the trying times before The Prosperity Treaty existed, when many people fled the other kingdoms and their incessant thirst for war.

The Freeish Kingdom is known for its spacious cities that resemble living in the middle of a forest, even in the most populous ones. The cities in the middle are known as the Soil Group, and they are more skewed towards farming and fishing. The outer ones are in the Blood group and rely more on hunting. This separation did not start right from the beginning; rather, it evolved naturally, and over time, they just started using those names without even realizing it.

Getting anywhere without an egua is tricky unless you love walking—and by that, I mean you might have to walk 20,000 steps a day to do all of your errands as everything is entirely horizontal-like as if people were mortally afraid of heights.

Watching the sunset fall over a gyut or greenbread farms commonly found in the Soil group cities is a sight to watch. Just watch out for Trunk People! Even though they may be small and cute as they innocently light up the entire city, if enough of them turn on you, you could be burned down to a crisp. Falling greenbreads are fatal for their astounding human weight and size, so look up!

Contrary to all other kingdoms, residents vote on their city leader, and the leaders vote on the representative of Freeish. It seems to work for them, at least for the most part—

Make sure to stop by during the White Roundies arrival! It’s pretty fun playing with them! You might even get something valuable if you play fetch with them.

Guards

Freeish Guards are like a dollar store version of Forway guards, but their courageous spirit and sense of protecting their Kingdom more than compensates for their lighter yet versatile bone-wood armor. Whenever they remove their short swords from their forearm sleeve, you better get some distance unless you can parry and strike true like no other. They also like their Nari bombs as well to close the gap, so watch out. If that wasn’t enough, their reflex appears to be higher than average as the entire Freeish bloodline of guards developed a tradition of training on hallucinogens to increase situation awareness and reaction times from childhood.

Names

People’s names in this democratic-focused kingdom sound similar to Brazilian names. Influences from other Kingdoms' names and cultures are not uncommon given this kingdom’s history. Rarely someone has a city name of Freeish, but rather one of the villages that makes up the kingdom.

Villages

#1 - Governor State

  • Main House where the current elected leader lives. Not exactly as big as an entire village, but the entire state covers about 13 square km (~5 square miles) of a private island where all elected kingdom personnel live and work inside.

#2 - Carbeyland

  • The “Original” village as some say where Carbey was planted in mass.

#3 - Farplace

  • It was, and it still is, kinda far from everything.

#4 - Treetop

  • A village named after hunters from this area often using treetops to attack prey.

#5 - The Mill

  • The name stuck after this village became the central place to mill grains using water milling.

#6 - Big Gyut

  • Named after a farmer who harvested an oversized Gyut that could fill a Darfaries stomach… Somehow.

#7 - Sweet Siguash

  • People from there were the first to plant Siguash in mass.

#8- Peaceful Life

  • A village in the middle of other villages that rarely would be preyed upon by beasts.

#9 - Endland

  • A village named for being close to the water.

#10 - Crossroads

  • The name stuck as this was the main village people fleeing from Sanbi/Tolerideme would see and make a decision of where to go next.

#11 - Carbeyland

  • The other “original” village where Carbey was planted in mass.

#12 - Lishies Eater

  • The oldest village of the bunch of origins around the fall of Ganyrami. It came from a legend that people in the region hunted down and ate every one of the Lishies that survived the fall of Ganyrami.
