In a way, it can be considered its own Kingdom, but its officials would vehemently deny that's the case. For them, Forway is a common ground for all kingdoms to trade freely, communicate clearly, and peacefully settle any issues. To that extent, Forway also keeps the peace by managing all cities outside a given Kingdom's permanently fixed sphere of influence.
If you are unfamiliar with Forway, then take a friend when you visit! Not that it's that violent, but like any big city, tourists can be easy pickings for people with bad intentions and suave speech, especially if they go to know sketchier parts. Also, don't be alarmed by how much nari gel people use. Fashion trends come and go, so if you have the money, why not participate as well? It might be the ticket to get into bed, and the pockets, of a socialite.
The "All the Way Festival" takes the cake among the many festivals. Seeing the adventurer recognition festival is fun and all, but the name "All the Way" implies how grandiose it is.
A badge is required to access the Black Castle and the innermost maze of Forway's cityscape. It's all for security and trading purposes since that's where the balls and contracts flow the most.
Also, if someone asks you if you want to go to the End Lake—just don't. Trust me. You don't even want to know, but you might have smelled its shittiness if the wind blew it over to you while passing by the South main roads.
